Active Embroidery opened in the main street of Singleton on the 29th of April 2005. The shop is run by Cathy Longbottom (left) who lives with her husband and three children on a property just out of Singleton. Cathy is an expert seamstress having sewn everything from beautiful Christening gowns to embroidering horse rugs! When Cathy's youngest child went to school she obtained a job in real estate which she loved and in her first year was presented with Singleton's "Employee of the Year" award. Cathy's smile, friendly service and skill with the embroidery machines, all ensure customer satisfaction which is something that is very important to her. She is enjoying the challenge of this career change and the customers are very happy with the personalized service they receive.
